Program Goals: The Electronics Technology Certificate teaches students how to work with electronic systems. After finishing the program, students will be ready to start entry-level jobs in the field of electronics. They will also have a strong foundation of knowledge that will help them learn more about electronics, mechatronics, photonics, or biomedical instrumentation in the future.
Student Learning Outcomes: After finishing the program, graduates will be able to:
- Build and test electronic and electronically-controlled systems using instructions, diagrams, and drawings.
- Use industry-standard tools to analyze and fix electronic circuits.
- Solve problems with electrical and electronic circuits using basic math.
- Build electronic systems using proper techniques for soldering and wiring.
- Use spreadsheets to organize and study data.
- Work with a group to solve problems.
